America, Enemy of the Faith

When I was a child, I used to love the Left Behind books. They painted a picture of a world in which the Christian Faith, so dominant in my upbringing, had been divested of its prominence, stigmatized, and eventually openly persecuted. The days of the early Church, of martyrs and prophets, were re-imagined in the modern world, as God made His last desperate attempts to offer salvation to a people whose hearts grew cold.

Independence for Catalonia, Independence for All

The Catalan people will soon face a unique opportunity: the chance to take tangible steps towards joining the community of independent nations. Most nations to gain this privilege have only done so by force of arms and the blood of their countrymen. Determination and faith will be required of them nonetheless.

Not surprisingly, the leaders of the West's unsustainable multinational empires are against this move:
"US President Barack Obama and British premier David Cameron, among others, have called for Spain to stay united."
I would assume if Blessed Kaiser Karl of Austria could be reached from beyond the grave, he also would oppose this measure, along with a majority of the final Emperors of Rome.

This alone should be enough to give the Catalans direction. If those who have turned their States into an endless misery of racial violence and hatred, of political and religious persecution, desire that you do one thing, it would be most wise to do the other. The Leader of the Slave World is not at all to be trusted.

Getting Away With Murder

Bruce Jenner will be, quite literally, getting away with murder. However, when you consider the price he paid to do so, I wonder if prison might not have been a better alternative. If you are famous and, more importantly, if you are useful, you are above the law in the West. If, on the other hand, you are not... Well, I'm sure Indiana will be much safer without the high treason of a broken taillight breaching domestic tranquility.

Of course, how you do depends on how much murder you commit. Realistically, Bruce Jenner only committed one negligent homicide. This merely entitles him to be feted throughout the media, and his peculiar sexual fetish declared to be bedrock truth. If, however, you are responsible for 7085 murders, you might just be anointed President of the United States.

Debate #2: Winners and Losers

As promised, and as done with the first debate, below are the ranked performances of the GOP contenders in the second main stage debate. I promise you, you likely won't believe who came out on top...

GOP Main Stage Debate #2 Stream of Consciousness Final Block

BLAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!!!

Women on Money
The Virgin Mary. Queen Isabel of Spain.
Best pick to Jeb: Thatcher is a decent pick.
This "nation" is shit because every woman has the right to live the life she chooses, erase the lives she doesn't, and manipulate the lives she wants.
Codenames
Son Goku
Jeb just wants Trump's approval. Hopefully when Trump gets the nomination, he'll let Bush hang out with him.

GOP Main Stage Debate #2 Stream of Consciousness Block #4

Getting bored now, but I'll hold strong!

WEED!!!
More "rule of law" bullshit. The other side won't hold to it, why should we?
The ends don't matter, so long as the means are ok.
Weed isn't just like smoking a beer, you don't get alcohol poisoning from weed.
Also, what Fiorina doesn't mention, is that her child died with drug laws in place!
Guns
And Jeb stands up for something. I'm shocked, but maybe there is a thin veneer to his conservative claim after all.
And Cruz learned to keep talking.
"Climate Change"
Phew! None of them are giving in! Whoohoo!

GOP Main Stage Debate #2 Stream of Consciousness Block #3

If you haven't figured it out by now from the two consecutive posts of babble, I'm publishing my stream of consciousness responses to the main stage GOP debate as it happens. More traditional posts will follow, but I wanted to respond to this one as it happens.

Random Middle Eastern Brigands
A good Trivial Pursuit score is not a strong country. Point Trump.
They don't recruit "Americans" Rubio, they recruit Muslims. Know the difference. (Hint, it starts at Tours.)
Spending is not equal to strength. America really does worship money.
Bush on Bush
Dude can't even lead this debate, how will he lead the world?
Trump knows the word "dais." Not so much the word "militaristic."
Low blow Trump.
I don't think Bush kept all those guys he sent to the sandbox safe.
"Haha, Walker agrees with me! Eat that Trump!" "And that matters, Jeb?"

GOP Main Stage Debate #2 Stream of Consciousness Block #2

And we're back for block #2!

Immigration
"We don't have a country" Excellent point.
The Germans could deport that many people, Christie... They could do it 70 years ago. They didn't need any fancy technology.
Dr. Carson decided it's story-time..
...Reasonable though. Do something that works.
Man, Trump sure insulted Jeb's wife by calling her a Mexican. Who in the world would want to be called that?
"We have been talking about it for 25 years" And doing what Carly?
Defending our country isn't worth hundreds of millions of dollars. - Jeb Bush
Why shouldn't the kid show you respect, Mr. Bush and ask the question in English? Oh wait, he'd have to respect you...

GOP Main Stage Debate #2 Stream of Consciousness Block #1

Walkout, Trump looks tired, Cruz personable.
Introductions
Paul seems angry in his intro. Chill bro, chill.
Huckabee, nice intro. Disarms opponents. Don't know why he doesn't poll higher.
Rubio pulling the Reagan worshippers early. Good call.
"Think of the children!" - Dr. Carson.
Conservative doesn't mean what you think it does, Mr. Bush.
Sorry Mr. Walker, Rubio beat you to the punch on Reagan. It has no power now.
Kasich, you're only the third one on this wagon. Is this the canonization of Ronald Reagan? Is Pope Francis int he audience?
Nice and punchy, well done Mr. Christie.

Stupid or Evil? Finally Answered!

...In this incredibly insightful piece by Samuel Francis, reprinted in Radix Journal, the great question about the nature of the foe that has bedeviled conservatives for generations has fianlly been laid to rest. Read it first before I spoil it.

Trump Capituates Again

Eugene Robinson:
"Let me ask you about that Kentucky court clerk [...] now what do you think, she's refusing to grant same-sex marriage licences. She'd been ordered by a court to do it - now she's been ordered to jail. Some of your opponents are standing with her and saying she's got a right to do this. What do you think?"

We are Still the Church

It's easy to get discouraged in the Faith these days. As people who are attempting to be Christians in the 21st century, we are afflicted not only by the wickedness without, but also the wickedness within. Many of us, myself prime among them, have compromised with the world in ways that the early Chruch would have found unimaginable. When asked to offer our pinch of incense, we've bowed the knee to whatever we needed to live a somewhat comfortable  life in an unhealthy age.

An Unexpected Solidarity mit Deutcheland

In much the same way that Kim Davis is standing up for Christianity in apostate America, so has Best Europe been standing up for Western culture in the face of Western European apathy and decadence. Today, per Adam Withnall of the Independant, Czech police have begun dragging invaders off trains headed to Germany. While Germany incites these invaders to come, attempting to spread the plague across the continent, still the Czechs and the Hungarians, both of whom could simply leave the Germans to their fate, hold back the tide.

Andrew Stroehlein of Human Rights Watch, seeing this, indignantly opines, "What never stops amazing me are people who look at the Holocaust and think that it only holds lessons for Germans & Jews." I think he might be somewhat surprised to learn what these lessons were.

...And ¡Jeb! Has Just Won the Nomination

From  MJ Lee and Chris Moody of CNN, the details of the Donald's concession of the race:
"Donald Trump has signed the pledge. The Republican presidential front-runner met privately with Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus Thursday afternoon, and soon after, came out to the lobby of Trump Tower to declare that he has signed a loyalty pledge. This means Trump has promised to support the party's eventual nominee -- whoever that may be -- and that he will not run as a third-party candidate."
Trump justified this move on the rationale that "the Republican Party in recent months has been 'extremely fair' to him." Unfortunately Mr. Trump fails to realize is that it is irrelevant that the RNC is "extremely fair" now. Just ask Ron Paul.

Looks like this election is going to be a snooze after all.

Philadelphia and Laodicea

Today, it behooves us all to recognize a hero of the Faith. In the face of the full power of the State, Kim Davis, County Clerk of Rowan, Kentucky chose prison over betraying her Lord. While she is not the first to suffer for Christ at the hands of the infidels who rule this country, as presidential candidate, former Governor, and Fox News host Mike Huckabee has noted, this is a major step forward towards the "criminalization of Christianity in this country." And while her persecution is certainly not comforting, we can glory in the courage and determination that this woman has shown in its face. There are yet "[...]a few people in Sardis who have not soiled their clothes[...]" (Revelation 3:4)

And in the face of this, the crowd chanted "Love won! Love won!" It certainly did. Through the love of Jesus, an imperfect woman (the linked article mentions that she is on her fourth husband) sacrificed her freedom for the Truth. Whatever she might have done in the past, whatever fears she might have had in the present, she was willing to persevere.

The Urge to Kill

Julie Zauzmer from the Washington Post writes about the death of a Maryland man's beloved pet.
"Ireland said the coyote showed no signs of rabies. But knowing that coyotes might contract the disease, animal control officers decided to euthanize it."
You know what else might contract rabies? Humans. I suppose we should kill all of them on sight as well? Or maybe we could take a good hard look at a world in which our first instinct is to destroy and eliminate, because that's likely to be far more deadly than an occasional case of rabies.

End the College Cartel

If you're like me, you got an unwelcome wakeup call yesterday. We've known for quite some time that our University system was sick and in need of a cleanup. We have seen that free speech, the cornerstone of the American idea, is dead on campus. Standing up for ourselves and our culture, having an identity beyond the self effacing dictates of an increasingly insane left to genuflect at the altar of our own destruction, these are no longer accepted for European Americans in the citadels of higher indoctrination.

But yesterday, it got all the more explicit. The scariest sign of 1984, the banning of words, so as to make opposition to the policies of the all-encompassing State impossible, is upon us...
